CCR was awarded the commission to help in the creation of a special building for Sydenstricker United Methodist Church near Springfield , VA. This client has recently approved our early designs in the Schematic Design phase and progress continues. This project was informed by their newly enhanced Mission and the numerous, supporting ministries. Our initial services were to lead a planning effort to ensure all stakeholders and each ministry were heard and become the major informers for the buildings flexible program requirements. This 12,900 SF, two story building will connect at each level to their existing Fellowship and Sanctuary building. Major program elements in the new building will be an administrative block, a dedicated music ministry wing, a large youth group assembly space with connected outdoor ministry features and a number of new multi-use classrooms/ small group spaces.
